About Superior HealthPlan

Superior HealthPlan and Prospera are working together to transform health in South Texas. Read more about the ongoing partnership.

Superior HealthPlan is proud to be a partner of Prospera. Together, Prospera and Superior are removing barriers to a healthier life for the most underserved among us. We’re accomplishing this through joint programs with Prospera that identify and seek to improve social determinants, including access to nutritious foods, affordable healthcare, housing and more.

As the largest provider of managed care in all 254 Texas counties, Superior is dedicated to transforming the health of Texas communities, one person at a time. That means taking a members-first approach, forming strong partnerships with leading community organizations like Prospera, and focusing on behavioral health as well as physical wellness. Superior HealthPlan members have access to STAR (Medicaid), STAR+PLUS, STAR Health, STAR Kids, CHIP, Medicare Advantage and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
