Prospera’s Laredo Manor Apartments To Open an Onsite Food Pantry for Low-Income Families

Prospera Housing Community Services’ affordable housing community, Laredo Manor Apartments, recently received a donation from Superior HealthPlan to establish and maintain an onsite food pantry for low-income individuals and families facing food insecurity.

During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Prospera noticed an increased need for food assistance for individuals who were impacted economically through job loss or reduced wages. By establishing an onsite food pantry at Laredo Manor Apartments, Prospera can assist approximately 250 low-income residents and approximately 50 neighboring community residents in Laredo with perishable/non-perishable food items to address food insecurity.
