Superior HealthPlan, a leading managed healthcare organization in Texas, is proud to be a partner of Prospera. Together, Prospera and Superior HealthPlan are removing barriers to a healthier life for the most underserved among us. This includes joint programs with Prospera that identify and seek to improve non-medical drivers of health, including access to nutritious foods, affordable healthcare, housing and more.
As one of the largest providers of Medicaid coverage in all 254 Texas counties, Superior HealthPlan is dedicated to transforming the health of local communities, one person at a time. That means taking a member-first approach, forming strong partnerships with leading community organizations like Prospera, and focusing on behavioral health as well as physical wellness. Superior HealthPlan members have access to STAR (Medicaid), STAR+PLUS, STAR Health, STAR Kids, CHIP, Medicare Advantage and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Superior HealthPlan, the largest managed care organization in Texas, has recently embarked on a new partnership with PROSPERA, a nonprofit organization that offers safe, high-quality, affordable housing with support services. Together, the two are removing barriers to quality healthcare, nutritious food and so much more, including access – on site – to the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing Mobile Health Unit as well as the San Antonio Food Bank’s Mobile Mercado.
