Seguin Manor Receives Rotary Club Grant for Onsite Food Pantry

Seguin Manor Apartments was recently awarded grant funding from the Rotary Club of Seguin to assist in stocking the new “Angel” Food Pantry with non-perishable food items for Seguin Manor residents and community members needing food assistance. On average, the Seguin Manor Apartments assist approximately 20 families monthly with food assistance.

Amy Priestly, Services Manager for Seguin Manor, notes “Seguin Manor residents had several obstacles regarding access to local food pantries.  While a few local organizations provide food assistance it’s not always consistent, which causes undue food insecurity stress on our residents with fixed incomes. Limited transportation is also an obstacle for many of our residents.  With having a pantry onsite, Prospera residents can access this resource with no obstacles.  The Seguin Manor Food Pantry does not have eligibility requirements so if the need is there, our residents are welcomed. We are very appreciative of the grant funding Rotary Club of Seguin provided to us to help get the Angel Food Pantry stocked.” Thank you Rotary Club of Seguin for your generous support!
