This year’s Silver Senior Trips included a Monte Carlo themed event of dancing and casino games at the Gonzaba Event Center in San Antonio and a field trip to the Corpus Christi Museum of History and Science in Corpus Christi. Combined over 100 Prospera senior residents came out for a day of community and social engagement. Michael G., who attended for the first time this year said, “I was nervous about coming along but my Service Manager assured me it would be fun. She was right! I’ve had a great time meeting other people, dancing, laughing and just having fun. I’m grateful for Prospera and the services it provides. I’m looking forward to participating in this event next year.” Carmen Hancock, VP of Resident Services, notes “The Silver Senior Trip is just one of the many services that Prospera provides as a means to combat isolation within the especially vulnerable senior population. Isolation has been proven to have significant negative impacts on physical and mental well-being, so we encourage our residents to stay active, engaged and involved within their communities. It’s another way in which Prospera works to Improve Lives and Build Communities!” Thank you to Gonzaba Medical Group, Superior HealthPlan, Saint Benedict’s Home Health, Inc., All Generations HealthCare, United HealthCare, and Woodforest National Bank for their donations and support to making our Silver Senior Trips a success.
