San Antonio, Texas, October 6, 2015: On October 6th, Prospera Housing Community Services (Prospera) hosts National Night Out 2015 at Country Club Village Apartments, a senior community located at 3500 Magic Drive, San Antonio, Texas, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The theme for this year’s community event is superheroes.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Prospera is a nonprofit community-based housing organization, which since 1993 has rehabilitated, preserved and managed multifamily affordable housing and provided support services for its residents. The agency has 49 properties throughout several cities in Texas and has effectively combined acquisition, rehabilitation and management of its properties with supportive services to promote economic and social stability for residents.
Anticipated attendees for the event include Joe Krier, City Councilman for District 9, San Antonio Police Department SAFFE division, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, various representatives from local community agencies throughout the city, as well as numerous Prospera staff members.
