Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable and account payable functions to meet the financial obligations of the organization. Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, confirming all discounts are taken and late fees are eliminated or avoided.
In collaboration with Accounts Payable, monitor AP Aging to assure timely payment of invoices.
Review daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash balances to assist in management of daily liquidity and confirm that accounts are adequately funded.
Complete timely postings for month-end close process to ensure efficient transaction management, and that data is accurately transmitted to corresponding financial statements.
Maintain records of cash balances to include posting checks issued, deposits made and other cash transactions.
Manage W-9 verification and set up of new vendors and prepare vendor 1099s’ and 1096s’ annually.
Provide compliance oversight of P Card portal, including issuance and payments on account.
Partner with AP department in managing and executing biweekly payroll processes, including payroll balance, reconciliation and processing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
College Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or an Associates’ Degree in Business and 6 years related experience in the field.
Previous experience with treasury management preferred.
